My journey with Giddo’s Gift started years ago when I was working as a journalist. Our paper covered a lot of Giddo’s story, and I was always moved by the charity’s mission and the incredible impact it had on young people battling cancer. Fast forward to today, and I now have the privilege of being directly involved in helping Giddo’s Gift grow and thrive.

One of the things I love most about my role as Charity Community Development Officer is the sheer variety it brings. No two days are the same! Whether I’m attending events, creating engaging social media reels, sorting out meaningful gifts for young people with cancer, or collecting vital data to inform future decisions and strategies, every part of my job is driven by a deep commitment to making a difference.

But for me, it’s not just about the tasks – it’s about the people. Being part of Team Giddo means working alongside passionate, dedicated individuals who share a vision of spreading kindness, support, and hope and it warms my heart to see a bunch of great people getting together to honour the memory of such a special young man.

My goal for Giddo’s Gift is simple: to see it grow, to enhance our incredible team, and to make waves! This charity has already done so much, and I’m excited to be a part of its future, helping it reach even greater heights and touch even more lives.
